TRANSPORT<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Travel by car\/camper<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Travelling to Harstad by car is an adventure in itself! If you are travelling from Trondheim and traveling further north we recommend travelling along \"Kystriksveien\", from Steinkjer to Bod\u00f8\u00a0<\/a> The coastal route along the Nordland coastline is one of the \u00ab101 World's most Scenic Routes\u00bb according to National Geographic.\u00a0<\/p>\n

From Bod\u00f8 you'll drive to Fauske, and follow E6 north to Bognes.\u00a0
From there you can take the ferry from Bognes – L\u00f8dingen<\/a>, and follow Ev10, and RV83 to Harstad.\u00a0
Or you can take the ferry to Bognes – Skarstad,<\/a> and follow Ev6 through the magnificent Efjorden, by Narvik to Harstad.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Travel by plane<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Harstad just under 2 hours planeride from Oslo.
The nearest airport is Harstad\/Evenes airport (EVE), that lays 40 km from Harstad. Norwegian, SAS, Wider\u00f8e and Flyr has routes to and from the airport. The airport have direct routes to Oslo, Trondheim, Bergen, Bod\u00f8 and Troms\u00f8.\u00a0
To get to and from the airport there is airport busses<\/a>taxi, and rental cars. More information on the sites to Avinor<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It is also possible to travel to nearby airportes.\u00a0
Bardufoss airport (BDU)<\/a>\u00a0lays about a two hour drive from Harstad.\u00a0
Troms\u00f8 airport (TOS)<\/a> lays about a 4 hour drive from Harstad, or a 3 hour ride with speedboat.<\/p>\n

Travel by boat<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Harstad is surrounded by islands, and also lays on Norways largest island. Therefore we have many types of boat routes going to and from Harstad.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Most known is probably Hurtigruten \/ Norway coastal express<\/a> traveling from Bergen to Kirkenes by 34 different ports. One of them being Harstad.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The speedboat between Harstad and Troms\u00f8 has three departures a day, and takes about 3 hours.
There is also several local ferries, speed boats routes for those who want to explore nearby islands.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Travel by train\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The northernmost place you can travel with by train in Norway is Fauske. There are buses that go to Harstad from there. Read more about norwegian train routes on VY.no<\/a><\/p>\n
